This policy explains what personal information Kartfern collects when you use kartfern.com, the Kartfern admin and apps, and stores built on Kartfern, and how we use it. Questions go to support@kartfern.com.
Kartfern is operated by LeagueSoftwares, a sole proprietorship in India.
Who this covers
Merchants are the businesses that sign up for Kartfern and their staff. Shoppers are the people who buy from a merchant’s store. For shopper information, the merchant decides what is collected and why, and Kartfern processes it on the merchant’s behalf. Each store also publishes its own policies.
What we collect
- Account details you give us: name, business name, phone number, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Business information you add: products, prices, stock, customers, orders, invoices and settings.
- Shopper details needed to fulfil an order: name, phone, email, delivery and billing address, and order history.
- Payment status from payment providers such as Razorpay. Card and UPI details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by Kartfern.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser and pages visited, used for security and to keep the service working. Analytics cookies are used on a store only after the shopper agrees to them.
How we use it
- To run the service: create accounts, process orders and invoices, send order and account emails, and provide support.
- To keep Kartfern secure: prevent fraud and abuse, and investigate problems.
- To send marketing emails only to people who opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
Service providers that help us run Kartfern, such as hosting, email delivery, payment and shipping providers, receive only what they need to do their job. We may also share information when the law requires it.
When the regional “Proudly built in India” badge is enabled on our marketing website, we send your IP address to ipwho.is to identify your country and decide whether to show the badge. This lookup does not request your device’s precise location.
How long we keep it
We keep information while an account is active and as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting records. Merchants can export their data and ask us to delete their account.
Cookies and storage
Our cookie policy explains essential browser storage and optional analytics on merchant stores. Clearing browser storage can remove preferences or sign you out.
Service providers and international processing
Providers may process information outside your country depending on the service and hosting configuration. We do not promise that all data remains in India. Contact us if your business needs details about a particular provider or data-handling arrangement before using the service.
Security and sensitive information
We use account access controls and other technical safeguards to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Do not place passwords, payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive personal information in product descriptions, support messages or other free-text fields. Your choices
See our data access and deletion page for the information to include in a request.
You can see and update your account details in the admin or your store account, unsubscribe from marketing at any time, and ask us for a copy of your information or to correct or delete it by writing to support@kartfern.com. Shoppers can also contact the store they bought from.
Where processing depends on your consent, you can withdraw that consent. This may affect features that need the information. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request and retain information where legal obligations require it. If a privacy concern remains unresolved, use our complaints route; this does not limit any applicable right to approach a competent authority.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above, and tell merchants about important changes.
